One of Travel Air’s earli- est attempts to build a cabin biplane was the Type CH that featured
a “Hisso” rated at 180 horsepower. Designed to carry four passen- gers in the small cabin, in 1926 the ship was sold to the Gerbracht Aeronautic Corporation based in Ames, Iowa. (Edward H. Phillips Collection)
