Truck driver-turned-exec uses King Air 350 for business, personal and charity flying

Geary Buchanan didn’t see this day coming.
Not when he dropped out of college and started driving a truck in 1972. Not when he and his wife Becky took the leap in June 1996 to start their own hauling company with one truck and two trailers. Not even in 2018, when Buchanan Hauling & Rigging had become a $200 million company with $400 million in sight.
“Could I see this day coming even three years ago? No way,” Geary said during a recent phone call, while he and Becky were driving from one Indiana city to another to see a few of their 19-going-on-20 brood of grandchildren. “We have been very blessed.”
