Hampton Aviation Becomes IS&S
Write and draw directly on ForeFlight’s map for easier note taking and much more. Tap the Annotations button on the left side of the screen to enter Drawing mode. Annotations remain visible above any chart or map layer, and you can easily change the ink color, thickness, and opacity for more style options.
Checklist Speak
ForeFlight can now serve as your helpful co­pilot by automatically calling out each item in a checklist so you can focus on flying. A quick­action bar at the bottom of the screen remains visible on every app view and allows you to pause or exit Speak mode and move faster or slower through the checklist.
ForeFlight 11.6 is available now at the App Store and also includes Map Annotations, Checklist Speak, Logbook Instructor Tools allowing flight instructors to send endorsements remotely, and more.
Authorized Dealer and Installer
Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) has named Hampton Aviation as a IS&S authorized dealer and installer. The IS&S Autothrottle (A/T), ThrustSense, is a full regime autothrottle from takeoff to landing phases of flight including go around. In addition, the system incorporates engine and speed exceedance protection. Think FADEC functionality with low speed and highspeed protection for the King Air.
A key ThrustSense safety feature for the King Air is Vmca mitigation. ThrustSense computes and controls appropriate power levels reducing pilot workload and increasing situational awareness providing a new level of convenience and safety for King Air owners and operators. ThrustSense is currently STC approved on the B200; STC approval for the B300/350 models are expected by the end of 2019.
